This conference will take place on campus at Yale’s Humanities Quadrangle (HQ) building (320 York St) and off campus at the Dixwell Community Center (197 Dixwell Avenue), in the Stetson Branch of the New Haven Free Public Library as part of the Elm City LIT Fest. The Dixwell Community Center is located about a half mile from Humanities Quadrangle. See program for specific times and locations. (Note: Humanities Quadrangle shows up on Google maps under its old title, Hall of Graduate Studies).
Parking:
The closest available parking to Humanities Quadrangle is paid street parking on York, Grove, and other surrounding streets, which may be in high demand during the conference. The closest garage is the Chapel/York garage (150 York St), which is a paid lot about 3 blocks from the conference site. Yale campus lots–ground lots (not garages)–are available and free to the public after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends. One such closer campus lot is Lot 78, open and available for free after 5:00 p.m. on Friday and all day on Saturday. See here for information and maps for both Chapel/York garage, Lot 78, and additional lots and other visitor parking information.
The Dixwell Community Center has a free parking lot. Shuttle transportation will be provided at set times on Saturday, September 9 between events in HQ and the LIT Fest at Dixwell Community Center.
